Mother Earth, Swallow Me!!!!*-Looking Back 2

Pepper’s post reminds me of a similar incident that happened in my life.

This is about the time when I had just stepped into the junior college. If you recall I had mentioned sometime back that all throughout I’ve been scared of dealing with guys who followed me to home, those who wrote chits and gave cards to me in the middle of the road etc. I used to come home and cry like hell for what had just happened, even if a guy just stopped me and asked for my name and on me not saying anything went away. All this was quiet scary affair for me. On the other front I was a tom boy,not fearing anyone but all this only when I was in the company of my friends and family πŸ˜›

Okay so there was this guy who followed me like the Mary’s lamb. Only breather was he never stopped me to talk, just walk behind me. So instead of getting scared I got bugged with him. I started changing my routes to classes,to friends’ homes and probably I also started showing signs of discomfort,if I were asked to go fetch something from a shop near by,which my parents noticed. One day daddy asked me what was wrong with me and like a little girl I told him about this guy. Daddy says okay.Nothing less, nothing more leaving me little bit confused.

After about 2-3 days daddy says let’s walk to the near by store. I thought it was one of those usual walks together that we took often. Once around the store I saw the guy with his other guy friends and my body language changed. I felt awkward. Me and daddy bought what we wanted to and while coming out of the store,he pointed his finger to the group of guys and asked out loud ‘is this the guy who follows you?’ and I was like ‘whaaaaaaaaat?’ and I felt exactly the way Peppy felt!!!!

That time it was a feeling of embarassment but today while looking back it’s nothing but a silly joke to me which never fails to bring on a broad grin to my face πŸ™‚

Well, yes the guy wasΒ identifiedΒ and that day after I never ever saw him following me again though we crossed each other a lot of times. I didn’t even sawΒ himΒ looking at me while passing by  Daddy,I tell you!!!!

  3. LOL. I loved what your Dad did. He took on that guy instead stopping you or escorting you. Not something that many from that generation did.

now looking back me too thinks he did right but that time it wasn’t lol types πŸ˜€

  4. hehheeh what a protective dad,i bow my head to him.

    aww πŸ˜€

In my 1st semester in BE while returning from college my senior stopped me for ragging. one, nasty aunty saw that and gave me a wait_let_me spread_this_that_you are_spoiling_your_parents_name_by_speaking_to_a_guy look.I reached home and informed to my mum and brother and cried loads. My bro assured me that they trust me and speaking to a guy is not at all wrong.Mum said ignore that aunty…
But now when I look back ,I smile but then that time it was a big issue for me πŸ™‚
Thanks scribby for the post it took me back to my college days πŸ™‚

my pleasure G πŸ™‚ and how cool of your mum and bro πŸ˜€

  5. That was so so funny..LOL! Arre, after that smart move by your father I’m sure it was the boy who must have wished for the mother-earth to swallow him right there and then instead :D. Classic strategy to keep stalkers at bay,na! πŸ™‚

hahahaah could be but I was so engrossed feeling ‘whaaat?’ that I didn’t notice his expressions πŸ˜€

    1. Arre my previous comment not showing! Still in moderation?? Aisi kya guistaakhi hogayi mere se??

  8. HATS Off to your DAD..

I remember I was always conscious of not doing anything like this to a girl I had my sis.. SO for me it was the other way round..

    how sensible!

I remember I did exactly the same .. πŸ™‚ and I cam back home with my sis.. But later in evening that Guy got a visit from me and a few of my friends .. put it this was HE was not seen again πŸ™‚

hawww you scared that guy hehehe!

  9. Fathers always know how to handle every situation πŸ˜€

I wonder what DH would do ? He says he will keep a baseball bat for such guys : D

    oh baap bat? πŸ˜€ geeeeeeee

  11. Dads are always the best… three cheers to your dad..
And for that guy who knows he might be telling his friends now that “you know I was a stupid back then that I was behind a girl and one day she came along with her father and that moment was the mother earth swallow me moment for me what with my friends around” he he he….

lol yeah he must have blogged about it somewhere πŸ˜‰ hahahah

  12. Hey! Thats so sweet of your Dad. Thinking back now- we used to hesitate so much to tell our parents anything na?

yeah I think there was hesitation yet we could confide in…

I had such an incident too and in my case it was Mom who did it – All she did was stare so bad at that guy that he just left and never came to follow me after that πŸ™‚

  13. thankfully that deterred him and nothing major happened. Some guys are not discouraged and end up being psychopaths!

yeah I can be just thankful to the almighty to have taken care of me πŸ™‚

C'mon,out with it,right here :)
